BLIA Chicago Chapter President Mai-Ping Chou and his spouse, along with Secretary Yun Guo, represented the temple, engaging in deep exchanges with 120 religious leaders and community representatives from various faiths.

The theme of the conference was “Harmony.” Several religious representatives delivered speeches exploring methods to promote world peace. A representative from the Sikh community noted that current global conflicts are often caused by a lack of communication between religions, leading to misunderstandings. He used the metaphor of musical instruments: while a solo performance can be enjoyable, it is only through mutual cooperation and harmony that a truly beautiful symphony can be created.

In addition to sharing and recognizing the year’s achievements, participants discussed how to actively interact with diverse ethnic and religious groups in the future. Many vowed to be “Messengers of Peace” by “speaking good words, doing good deeds, and taking action to end conflicts and change the world.” President Mai-Ping Chou introduced the four pillars of FGS and BLIA—culture, education, social welfare, and spiritual practice—and highlighted the principles of “Respect and Tolerance” and “Equality and Peace” advocated by Venerable Master Hsing Yun.

The event organizers, university professors, mainstream media representatives, and legal professionals expressed great interest in FGS and BLIA. President Chou further introduced the “Great Religious Unity” event held at the Buddha Museum, which provides a platform for different faiths to interact and enhance mutual understanding. Many attendees expressed their intention to visit FGS Chicago to further explore how they can collectively contribute to world peace.

[67

post-2793","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-print-news
http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",919,614,false
http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",512,342,false
http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",512,342,false
http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",768,513,false
http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",512,342,false],"1536x1536":["http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",919,614,false],"2048x2048":["http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",919,614,false
http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",370,247,false
http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",362,242,false],"great_lotus-thumb-category-@retina":["http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",724,484,false
http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",919,614,false],"trx_addons-thumb-huge-@retina":["http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",919,614,false
http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",770,514,false],"trx_addons-thumb-masonry-big-@retina":["http://www.ibpschicago.org/en-us/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/03-7.jpg",919,614,false
["GET
